What are you working on right now?
Several things.
I’ve just finished the first draft of a film that I’m hoping we’ll get to shoot next year… but honestly, who knows, the status of these things tends to change very quickly.
I’ve also (literally yesterday) just started writing a new episode for an audio series I write on every few years. It hasn’t officially been announced yet but I’m sure you can work out which one.
I’m also trying to do something new with Ashes, the stand up/storytelling show I toured last year. Maybe turn it into a memoir. Or a film. A play? I’m not sure yet.
Will you be making more White Van Man?
No. It was a lot of fun when we made it and gave me a great start in the industry, but it had its time and we’ve all moved onto new things. I’m told it’s all still on the BBC iPlayer, and should hold up pretty well I think.
Where can I see your work?
White Van Man is on the BBC player, Trollied is on the NOW TV/SKY app. All my Doctor Who audio stuff is available on the Big Finish website. And various interviews and other bits and bobs are peppered around the internet if you have a google.
Where can I see you perform live?
I’m currently taking a bit of a break from live performance till I have a new idea to properly tour again. I loved touring Ashes so much last year but only want to go our again when I really have something I’m excited about. Some stuff is bubbling, so we’ll see. That said, last time I said that it took about twelve years to do something new, so… time will tell.
Can I perform A Very Naughty Boy at my theatre?
Sadly not. As brilliant as it would be to see amateur groups and local theatres perform it again, it’s tied up in all sorts of Monty Python legal rights.
Are you on any Social Media?
Nope. Not anymore. I’ve tried. I really have. But it’s really not good for me, my mental health or my creativity. So, if you want to see what I’m up to or make contact, this website really is the best place.

Sadly not. As much as I love reading new writers scripts and work, I’m currently drowning in projects of my own and just don’t have the time. But I wish you well and hope whatever you’re working on finds the right home.
